Bethesda Mission is grateful for the generous support we have received from the Kline Foundation for the expansion of our Community Center! The Bethesda Mission Community Center works with at-risk children and teens and their families in the Harrisburg area. Our ultimate goal is that kids attending the Center do NOT wind up in our long-term recovery programs down the road as adults. Instead, we are serving the community by giving the kids and their families a positive place to turn to before things get worse, while giving them a foundation to stand on and a vision for their future.
With the funds received, we have completed Phase II (2 story/2nd story shell) of our new Center
The Expansion/Renovation – Phase I & II Complete!
§ The expanded land and renovated facility has enabled a much greater variety of indoor and outdoor activities and services for children, teens, and adults.
§ The newly completed gymnasium/activity center offers athletics, creative arts, education and IT support systems, banquet/large event space, outdoor play area, and room for senior activities. This building is now the home of our new “Teen Takeover” and Workforce Development” programs.
