The Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation has played an important role in the success of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra (HSO.) As the sponsor of the Principal Bassoon Chair, the Kline Foundation has offset a considerable expense of the symphony allowing the HSO to direct more funds to its educational programming that reaches thousands of students across the region each year.

After more than 20 years of continual use, the Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center (PSC) at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, was in critical need of expansion and renovation. The PSC is a major training ground for this region’s first responders, including municipal police officers, paid and volunteer firefighters, and emergency services personnel.

As a result of the generous support provided by the Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s Project Advancing Hope, our major facilities expansion and network capacity building project completed in 2012, is now ensuring our mission capabilities for the next generation.

The American Red Cross was able to be there…thanks to the support from the Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kine Foundation. The Kline Foundation’s gift supports all areas of the American Red Cross’s Emergency Services.
