The Kline Foundation grant of $67,000 allows our residents to be safe at home regardless of the weather or circumstances with the power grid outside the building. This money was given to purchase and install a new generator that supports our facility and residents in the event of a power outage emergency.
Darlene* has lived at Paxton Street Home for 5 years now. That may not mean a lot at first glance, but it is significant because this is likely the first time in her adult life that she isn’t homeless or in an abusive situation. She has her own room, friends, and takes pride in her appearance. Although she is a quiet lady, her warm smile speaks volumes.

The mission of Paxton Ministries is to provide housing and support services to adults in need with Christ-like love. We offer a supportive, family-like environment where love and compassion are a way of life-where dignity and self-worth are recognized in every individual, regardless of their income, disability, or mental health.
The Kline Foundation’s gift is providing safety, security, and peace of mind for our residents and staff. In the event of a power loss, we will be able to continue essential services to our residents. The new generator will provide enough power to keep the kitchen, medications offices, all security systems, bathrooms, community living spaces, hot water, and staff offices fully functional for several days. Without these systems working, our 85 residents would need to be temporarily relocated to a different facility which is a monumental task. It gives us great peace of mind knowing we can adequately care for our residents through the most inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies. Thank you for your generosity!

We would like to thank our friends at the Josiah W. and Bessie H. Kline Foundation for their generous donation to Paxton Ministries for new vehicles! Working with Faulkner Honda, we were able to purchase two new Honda Accords. These cars are used every day to transport residents to health care appointments, volunteer opportunities, and activities which enrich their lives. Thank you for your generous funding which helps Paxton Ministries provide housing, help, and healing in the name of Christ to people in south central Pennsylvania.
