United Way of the Capital Region – We Aspire

United Way of the Capital Region - Children

The mission of United Way of the Capital Region is to improve lives in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties by identifying the most pressing community needs, finding solutions to those needs, and demonstrating how these solutions are making a difference.

We are moving our mission forward through a thoughtful and strategic vision. Our goal is to tackle critical issues facing our community in the areas of health, education, income and basic needs by focusing on the root causes of these problems.

United Way of the Capital Region is grateful for the ongoing support of the Kline Foundation. Together we can improve life in our community. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.

United Way of the Capital Region and The Kline FoundationUnited Way of the Capital Region (UWCR) is grateful for the ongoing support of the Kline Foundation. Since 2006, the Kline Foundation has provided grant funding for UWCR’s Tocqueville Society match program. The Tocqueville Society includes donors who contribute $10,000 or more annually to UWCR.

Through the match program, donors can become members of the Tocqueville Society by “stepping up” their giving. Since the inception of the program, UWCR has increased membership by approximately 20 members per year. Tocqueville members now account for 24 percent of the entire campaign. In 2013, Tocqueville Society donors contributed $2,792,418 of the $11,872,929 raised by UWCR. By helping UWCR raise more funds for our community annually, the match program has clear and tangible benefits.

In addition to the match program, the Kline Foundation supports UWCR’s overall work, which focuses on health, education and basic needs – the building blocks for a better life for us all. UWCR supports more than 80 programs and services to create solutions to the most pressing needs in our community.

Thank you Kline Foundation for LIVING UNITED!
